James Andrew, BSc. (UBC), M.HSc. (U of Syd) has been awarded The President’s Service Award for Excellence (Advancing Diversity and Inclusion category)

Congratulations to James Andrew who is a recipient of the 2013 President’s Service Award of Excellence in the ‘Advancing Diversity and Inclusion’ category.  James is former Associate Director of the Division of Aboriginal People’s Health in the Department of Family Practice.  Currently, he is the Aboriginal Student Initiatives Co-ordinator in the Faculty of Medicine.  In this role, he works closely with the Admissions and Student Affairs Offices focusing on Aboriginal Health curriculum, as well as the recruitment, and retention of Aboriginal medical students.  James also co-chairs the Aboriginal Admissions Sub-Committee, Chairs CAME’S SIG on Aboriginal Health Education, and is a Clinical Instructor in Family Practice.
