Sarah Munro receives Michael Smith Foundation Trainee Award

Sarah Munro, PhD Candidate in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of British Columbia (UBC) has been awarded a Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR) trainee award.  Ms. Munro was one of 28 outstanding post doctoral researchers chosen from a highly competitive pool of 154 applications.  With a maximum term of three years, the awards will support emerging research leaders as they establish their careers while training alongside senior members of BC’s health research community.  Her project title “Exploring the factors that influence implementation of mifepristone abortion practice in Canada: The CART-Mife study” will explore the barriers and facilitators that influence successful implementation and ongoing provision for medical abortion service.
