Mandate

The UBC Department of Family Practice Research Office seeks to build research capacity in the Department of Family Practice through:

• the stimulation of new ideas and directions;
• the development of strategies;
• the fostering of collaborative research across the Department, and;
  
• the promotion of external partnerships.

Role of the Research Office

The Research Office works for the entire Department of Family Practice. This includes academic faculty, clinical faculty, the divisions, community-based physicians, residents, students and staff. 

The Research Office maintains a list of grants and publications written by members of the Department. This list is used in the creation of the semi-annual Bear Bones newsletter and various annual reports.
