The Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Centre (AMSMC) is a multidisciplinary, on-campus, Exercise and Sports Medicine Centre that is committed to education, research and service and the scientific pursuit of knowledge to create better health. Health and human performance are the highest priorities of the AMSMC. The scope of its programs is broad and extends to all health issues that incorporate or may involve physical activity as a primary intervention. AMSMC helps recreational and competitive athletes to achieve optimal performance through state of the art injury management, diagnostics, health maintenance, rehabilitation, performance enhancement and training.

Provides general medical care for families, with an emphasis on obstetrics and women’s issues. Psychiatry is also available. Family practice residents are involved in patient care at the clinic; faculty physicians also see all the patients at all visits. Longer appointments are booked to allow for the teaching process, and patients are able to receive a deeper analysis of their concerns. Clinic operates 9:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Friday.

The clinic operates 9:00 – 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday with the exception of Thursday morning when the clinic is closed for Academic half day.Provides full-service family practice care, including obstetrics and nursing home care. Special expertise available onsite from a pharmacist, pediatrician, and psychiatrist. 24-hour on-call doctor for registered patients. For individuals and families, living on the UBC campus or Lower Mainland, who want holistic, personal physician care. All ages welcome.
